Here are some cool pictures of lightning striking the world's tallest building, The Burj Dubai. While there are very few thunderstorms in Dubai, the chances of a lightning strike increases with the height of the building. Pretty cool, huh?
Kelburn Castle is prominently located on the west coast of Scotland, 35 miles west of Glasgow, overlooking the sea. Kelburn is supposedly the oldest castle in Scotland to have been continuously inhabited by the same family, and probably built before 1200 AD. In 1977 the tenth Earl of Glasgow and his wife, opened most of Kelburn’s grounds and gardens to the public and introduced new attractions.
It seems an earlier attempt to restore the castle walls used a cement, or stucco if you will, that is actually damaging the original stone walls, and must be removed/replaced in a couple of years. So the Earl and his Mrs, got permission from Historic Scotland to bring four famous graffiti artists from Brazil, and paint the place.
This is how it looked before the project started:
And here it is in the early stages:
Pretty cool, huh? This is what it looks like more recently:
I found these pictures sitting in the My Documents folder in my computer. I have no idea how they got there or where they came from. It must have been a too much tequila not enough rational thinking kind of night. If one or more of them belongs to you and you don't want them here - I'll be happy to remove them.
