Spencer Tunick (16)

Spencer Tunick is an American photographer best known for his photographs that feature large numbers of nude people posed in artistic formations. In these images the nude form becomes abstract due to the sheer number so closely placed together.

A Gorey Storey

The Disrespectful Summons
A story by Edward Gorey

ds2
The Devil gave a sudden leap
And struck Miss Squill all of a heap.
ds3
He swooped her up from off the ground
And twirled her madly round and round.

ds4
That night she saw when she undressed
His mark was burned upon her breast.

ds5
Next day flew in her open door
A creature named Beelphazoar.

ds6
It brought a recipe for fudge
Of pounded pencil-stubs and sludge.

ds7
Also a book called Ninety-two
Entirely Evil Things To Do

ds8
She cindered toast and rotted silk,
Corroded tin and curdled milk.

ds9
Her laugh made beetles swoon; her frown
Made geese and cows turn upside down.

ds10
She did her neighbours' forms in wax
And stuck them full of pins and tacks.

ds11
They then expired with frightful pains
Inside their bowels, lungs, and brains.

ds12
She got from somewhere stones with eyes
And plants that gave out screams and sighs.

ds13
But then the demon, much too soon,
Returned one Sunday afternoon.

ds14
He seized her hair, and with his hoof
He kicked a way out through the roof.

ds15
The end had come, and this was it;
He dropped her in the Flaming Pit.

Another Disclaimer

I found these pictures sitting in the My Documents folder in my computer. I have no idea how they got there or where they came from. It must have been a too much tequila not enough rational thinking kind of night. If one or more of them belongs to you and you don't want them here - I'll be happy to remove them.
